Motorcycle Vacations Our newest addition to the family a 2017 Ultra Limited Harley Davidson has conjured new and longer rides as time goes on. We have decided to alter every other year as a designated motorcycle vacation. I’ve agreed to this just as long as we take a fight out of the country to our following years vacation! Packing – Tight Quarters So, with Pawtoberfest and my own Oktoberfest party under my belt I have ONE day to pack for our Harley Davidson motorcycle trip to Minnesota. As you can see in the picture below, I don’t have much room for Everything I’d like to take with me on trips. One side saddle bag compartment each is all each person gets if you are not pulling a trailer behind you. However, this is our third moto trip so I’ve gotten used to wearing the same few outfits for two weeks, I just need a laundry mat and I’m refreshed and good to go. Microphones Ready The morning came too early. However, we were eager to get on the road and try out our new microphones in our helmets. Now we can talk to each other without having to yell with our faces turned up to the wind. After a few minutes of testing our microphones we were out on the open road by 5am — Minnesota bound! Broken Sprocket Leads to Garage Remodel Its funny… how a broken metal sprocket leads to a huge project! LOL! I was heading out to buy some more chalk paint and run some errands. As I was heading into the garage I pushed the button for the garage door to open and I hear a loud cranking noice I hadn’t heard before. As I took one step into the garage, there was a loud crunch and snap noice, the drive change sprocket had broken and came hurdling at my head! Turns out this is just what the doctor ordered. A perfect excuse for my husband to order a new garage door opener and begin his Harley Davidson garage remodel! The New Garage Door – Wireless I was right, the garage door is now considered “dead” to my husband. It was the perfect storm to buy a side mount garage motor he has been wanting for a few years now. The installation of the new Lift Master 8500W motor gave us much more space above the garage and it’s so quiet, too! The coolest thing about the new garage door opener is that you can open and close the garage from anywhere you have an Internet connection! Our Summer is ending but we have one more celebration, our anniversary. We didn’t have anything planned but after a 30 minute discussion I suggested we were headed to Breckenridge, CO, our wedding place.
I finally made it to Seven Falls after living in Colorado Springs for exactly 7 years. Why the hesitation, not quite sure. But when I was hinting to attempt a visit again, the falls were under construction due to heavy rain damage. It was now up to the Broadmoor to foot the bill for the repairs and upgrades to the falls and its structures. Upon reopening, a once gift shop is now Restaurant 1858!
We vacationed in England this Spring and visited London and the country side! “Mind the Gap!”
